Geeky Puffin Knit Palooza
Shout out to CC, Dami and Sam for organising the retreat, and to Joeli and Tara for the workshops I did, both that weekend and in Manchester the next weekend!
Lovely to see Sara, Sylvie, Rachel and Alli again.
Elevate Your Business workshops with Joeli and Tara, I came away brimming over with ideas!! I’ve got my domain name registered so my website www.owlaboutyarn.com is currently in the works!
You can find Tara at www.taraswiger.com and Joeli at www.joelicreates.com.
What I’m wearing – Velvet Morning Cardigan from Knitty.com.
Tallulah(ish) by Sarah Ronchetti in cheap squeaky acrylic. 3.75mm needles. Embellished with Heart to Heart socks lace pattern by Tash at Quirky Hand Knits.
Cable Braid Headband (free pattern on Ravelry).
My own merino/nylon blend in the “Pollocks” colourway, on 2.5mm needles.
Treacle by Joeli Creates. 5mm needles, yarn by Sara’s Texture Crafts (Donegal DK – “Teal Story” and Sparkle DK – “Ilfracombe”) and me (Merino DK – “Aloof”). Loving this knit!
Goodies from the Geeky Puffin Knit Palooza including freebies from Little Grey Girl, Kralalien, CC, Knit Run Dig, Sara’s Texture Crafts, Jan B Smiley, Kettle Yarn Co.
Prizes – Pom Pom “Take Heart” book, sock pattern from Tash at Quirky Hand Knits and an embroidered bag made by Sam from Knit Run Dig.
Stitch markers gifted to me by Ann Tudor – pink and black sheep!
CC’s Coffee with CC book was a swap for a Winnie the Pooh project bag – we were both happy!
2 skeins of DK yarn from Sara’s Texture Crafts – the ones I’m using in my Treacle shawl. And a braid of merino fibre from Porpoise Fur.
Excited about going to Edinburgh Yarn Festival – that will be an ongoing theme over the next few months I’m afraid! And also there will be a few shop updates in the next month, just so long as it gets light enough to take some pictures!
